Ana Cancian, RP
Founder, Registered Psychotherapist and Supervisor
Hi there! I’m Ana!
I am a psychotherapist with 10 years of experience supporting clients in building a life worth living.
I launched Fluxo Psychotherapy in 2020, in the hope of creating a private practice that reflected my values in psychotherapy.
I am passionate about supporting my clients to reach their best selves and live an authentic life full of purpose.
I am licensed for independent practice of psychotherapy by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
My approach to psychotherapy is based mostly on our shared humanity; we are all humans, and it is natural to have difficult moments and painful emotions sometimes (or often!). I strive to bring a non-judgmental, compassionate, and warm approach to my clinical work. I genuinely believe (and the research data support my point of view) that building a trusting relationship between client and therapist can be the key ingredient to making psychotherapy a profound healing experience.
I have lived experience of being a POC, Latinx, immigrant woman in Canada. I make every effort to apply an Anti-Oppression lens to psychotherapy work.
When I am not working, I love to be with my family (spouse, my son and my dogs). I am also a house plant hobbyist and very into arts and crafts. I practice meditation daily and I attend a Zen meditation retreat once a year. Mindfulness is deeply embedded in my life.
I know for sure courage is not the absence of fear, but pursuing your path even in its presence. I feel thankful to my clients for letting me witness their unique journeys to empowerment.
