Ana Cancian

Director and Supervisor

Healing begins when we feel seen and believed

Hi there — I’m Ana.
I’m the Director, Supervisor, and a Psychotherapist here at Fluxo Psychotherapy.

I bring over a decade of experience supporting individuals in building lives of resilience, meaning, and self-compassion. I founded Fluxo in 2020 to create a space that reflects the values I hold close — safety, inclusivity, and heart-centered care rooted in our shared humanity.

As Director, I oversee a team committed to compassionate and ethical therapy.
As Supervisor, I mentor developing clinicians to grow in both skill and integrity.
And as a Psychotherapist, I walk alongside my clients with warmth, authenticity, and deep respect for their stories.

How I Can Support You

My clinical work is emotion-focused, trauma-informed, and rooted in anti-oppressive practice.
I believe in exploring what happened to people — not what’s wrong with them — recognizing how trauma and systemic oppression shape our lives and our health.

Therapy Modalities:

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)

Focus Areas:

I’m passionate about helping people:

  • Heal childhood and attachment trauma
  • Challenge fear-based narratives and live with courage
  • Connect with their inner wisdom and emotions
  • Stand up to oppressive systems and find true belonging
  • Appreciate themselves just as they are
  • Reclaim purpose and connect to spirituality

More than just my work

Outside of the therapy space, I’m a houseplant lover, a daily meditator, and an arts-and-crafts enthusiast.
Time with my son, my spouse, and our dogs is one of the greatest joys in my life.

I carry lived experience as a cis woman, neurodivergent, POC, and Latinx immigrant — and that deeply informs how I show up in this work.
I know what it means to navigate complex systems and internalized stories, and I bring both personal and professional insight to support your healing.

I believe courage isn’t the absence of fear — it’s choosing to walk your path even while fear is still present.
