Intense feelings like anger, sadness, or anxiety can feel overwhelming. They might lead to outbursts, isolation, or exhaustion. You’re not alone if it’s hard to cope day to day.
Sometimes emotions get in the way of feeling close to people. You might feel hurt easily, pull away, or worry people will leave.
You might feel numb one moment and overwhelmed the next, without knowing why. It can be confusing and hard to explain, even to yourself.
You might hide parts of yourself out of fear people won’t accept you. That can feel lonely and exhausting.
Coping through self-harm, substance use, or numbing might bring short-term relief—but often leads to guilt, shame, or feeling stuck.
It’s tough living with constant self-doubt or shame. You might feel like you’re not enough, no matter what you do.
When you start DBT with us, we first spend time getting to know you and understanding your struggles and goals.
Our program covers four main skills: Mindfulness (staying present), Distress Tolerance (coping with hard situations), Emotional Regulation (handling emotions), and Interpersonal Effectiveness (improving relationships). We offer individual therapy to support you personally and group sessions to learn and practice new skills and gain support from others.
We regularly check your progress and adjust the therapy to fit your needs, making sure you have the tools you need to manage daily life better.

We specialize in DBT, and our therapists are specially trained in this therapy. We use methods that have been proven to help people handle intense emotions, improve relationships, and reduce harmful behaviors.
Our team is compassionate, supportive, and welcoming. We provide a safe space for you to share your experiences without judgment. Our goal is to help you create lasting changes and emotional well-being.
Our therapists are on a mission to help clients navigate life’s biggest challenges with compassion, clarity, and expert support. Through in-person therapy in Ottawa and virtual therapy across Ontario, we provide a steady anchor when life feels overwhelming.
